Kayla Janes received both her BFA and MFA from Laguna College of Art and Design. Growing up on the California Coast has fostered a deep love for the natural environment.  Her paintings express how one’s exterior surroundings can mirror internal states.  While savoring the sun, coast, and ocean, she finds connections to her own inner workings.  She believes that natural phenomenon offers insights into various stages of one’s own existence.
